Motor City Fever & Film Event

The Schwartz Center will wrap up the season with another exciting two-day event exploring the musical genre of the hit TV production, Soul Train. Audiences will enjoy a special tribute to Don Cornelius performed by the talented cast of Motor City Fever on May 11th. This amazing musical evening will feature dozens of your favorite tunes from groups such as: The Supremes, The Temptations and Stevie Wonder performed by an incredible group of artists who have shared the stage with some of the legends themselves. You’ll be singing and dancing in the aisles with this four-piece band and amazing vocals! *

Film & Speaker Series
Friday, May 10, 2013 at 7 pm

The evening prior to the concert the Schwartz Center will screen a documentary film, “The Best of Soul Train.” Speaker, Dr. David Laganella, Wesley College Professor of Music, will lead a discussion on the music and cultural history contained in the film and how this genre has influenced music today. This program will be free and open to the public. *
